The recommended grease for chain lubrication is Castrolease Medium. The chain should have 1/2″ of movement on top run when correctly adjusted.
It is worth noting that the main gearbox should use a straight gear oil not EP90. Castrol D or equivalent SAE140 gear oil is recommended. I use Morris oils AG140 Classic Gear Oil. Castrol XL SAE 30 for the engine, Morris Oils Golden Film SAE30 Classic motor oil is what I use.
If you drop me an email with your email address I can send you a copy of the machine manual.

I suspect the only source of a worm gear will be from a scrap machine. Having one made will be extremely expensive.

The British Pathe archive has a number of interesting films. I found one years ago ‘The horse a thing of the past’ which starts with a demonstration of various road sweeping and cleaning machines and ends (from 4:10 onwards) with a Rototiller 10 working on a football pitch, possibly Wembley.

Image file needs compressing as it is too large (5072KB limit), see following for details about resizing images

£11.26 sounds cheap for a coil, I usually pay around £50-£70 for a Villiers type coil using reputable suppliers on line.

Could you get a good photograph of the gauge face and then photoshop it to fill in the missing bits?

The following diagram of the Villiers flywheel magneto can be found at https://www.historywebsite.co.uk/Museum/Engineering/Villiers/Villiers9.htm
This should help explain the circuit.

Ken I have sent you some scanned literature and will dig my Jetiller out of the ‘to do’ projects pile and take some photographs.
It is interesting to know that at least two of these machines survive.
