Looks like an early Merry Tiller tool bar, early Merry Tillers had a round hole in the hitch but later ones with the cast hitch could take both round and rectangular tool connectors.

Your GT6 probably has more in common with that Reliant engine than just the Lucas Electrics. Reliant poached the Triumph designer when they were swapping from the Austin 7 derived side-valve 750cc engine to the 600 cc OHV unit for the first OHV Reliants. Here’s a spec. sheet for the James Comet L1. 98cc. 1956-1964 which used the S12 carb.

Gearbox looks like a Ford one, though I’m not sure of the model. Fords never changed much if they could help it. My dad bought his first car, a 1936 Ford 8 in 1946, during the war they couldn’t get petrol so it ended up as a hen house! Father had to put an engine in and Mother made the headlining out of army blankets!
