Hi, I’ve just received an order for a replacement for lodge MB3 spark plug. The plug they have sent has n 18mm thread but the original plug thread is much smaller than that. on enquiry th e supplier said this is a replacement for the CB3. The hand book says it should be an MB3 can anyone point me in the right direction, are the suppliers correct?

Just tried to start it. No fuel mixture getting to the cylinder. Float chamber is filling up and when a little fuel is added straight in to the cylinder it runs. I put a replacement main jet in during the rebuild ,does the taper needle and jet need to be paired? Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks

Thanks. I’ve tried 1/4 bsf and 1/4 bsp. bsf was too small, bsp too big. I will try 1/8 bsp. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your reply

Hi, can anyone tell me what thread and size the grease nipples are on a 1954 monro tiller please. I can’t get the grease to pump through the originals as they have an end which doesn’t seem to clip into the grease gun. Thanks

Hi Charlie, I understand you are the man when it comes to dating Monro tillers. When I bought the tiller it came with the original receipt from 1954. I wonder if you can confirm that date from the ID plate for me. Thanks

Just looked at the chain and it looks very slack. There is no adjustment so should I remove one or two links and fit a connector link?

Thanks DaveT, found the screw and removed the backplate. Brilliant.I wonder if you can help me with one other question. I took the chain cover off the drive between the engine and tiller section. It was packed with 70 year old grease which I removed. Any idea what type of grease I should re-pack it with. Thanks again for your help

Do you think this could be it, to the left of the switch wire connection?

Hi I am renovating a Monro tiller with a Villiers mk12 engine fitted. I am going to have to fit a new coil but I’m having problems removing the back plate. I removed the four nuts that seem to be holding the plate on and tried tapping the plate off but it seems stuck fast. Is there anything else I should be doing? Please see photos.
