I think your best bet is to replace the coil as recommended, the difference can be remarkable, even with a coil that is apparently working.

Apart from the mentioned engine problems, the rest of the machine appears to be in excellent original condition, and fitted with the wider rotavator unit, which is not so common. Good luck with it.
