Ray glad to hear card arrived safely. I try to post insurance/membership cards out on the day I receive renewal.
No need to submit entry if already in directory, 2018 is only an update.
Alastair, I may have a couple of wheels, are they steel or aluminium? Is it both halves that are cracked? Tyres are a problem as they are an obsolete size. Some models of Merry Tiller had the same size.
The only washer I can think of that looks like the two mystery ones are the hub retaining washers MT214, although they have a hole not a dimple.
A non member placed a for sale advert and requested a copy of the magazine, which he has now received. The following comment is from the e mail he sent me.
“I’m very impressed with your club magazine and equally pleased with the way you’ve advertised my items. Many thanks.”
Well done Alan.
Believed to be around 1939. It has been to GDSF. When it is up and running I will bring it to Weeley to join the Trusty’s, Howards, Simar and other makes of machine we see there.
Maybe not the best engineered modifications but all part of this machines history. It does create a dilemma; keep as is, restore, return to original or break for parts?
Issue 114 is now with printers.
Please do not renew until magazine arrives with renewal form; note those members that have joined recently will not have a renewal form as their membership will run till end of 2018.
Well done to all involved, an impressive display. Pre Barford machines would make a good item for The Cultivator.
Geoff, I see what looks like a stage 1 V8 Land Rover, a forward control, a 101 and a Belgian army Minerva in the line up, thanks.
The extract I posted is from a workshop manual, not the owners manual. I suspect tools, especially valve seat cutter will be expensive. It will probably be cheaper to go to an engineering company, ideally one that is familiar with small engines.
