charlieKeymasterHave you tried heating the wheel around where the key is. In addition to expanding the metal I have found the heat helps breakdown rust. Very likely, as suggested in another post on the forum, the gib key has been hammered in too far previously.

charlieKeymasterI would say no as it was built as a ride on machine. Better safe than sorry with insurance.

Front cover photo was supplied by Geoff, I will have to ask him what it is, I thinkir=t is a canal boat tug of some sort. Note to self, add line in editors ramblings to say what cover photo shows.
I think magazine is thinner due to different paper.June 11, 2024 at 10:56 am #42429

charlieKeymasterA small, but not light, machine is the Monrotiller. The series 3 machine has reverse which makes getting out of a corner much easier, the series 1 and 2 do not. It has ratchet hubs that can be locked. Another feature ofthe Monrotiller wjhich I like is teh ability to swing handles to left or right avoiding the nee dto walk behind and trample the ground that has been worked. They are heavy, 125Kgs.

charlieKeymasterFrom what I know of small two wheeled garden tractors most had either a rigid axle with both wheels locked to it, eg Trusty Earthquake or a rigid axle with wheels mounted on hubs with ratchets that could be locked, eg Monrotiller. Disengaging one of th eratchets would ease turning.

charlieKeymasterAndy I have an Emery like this one but only have a copy of the advert as shown in gallery. If your is the same it would be good to know what spark plug it has as I am unable to read what is on mine.

charlieKeymaster“I can’t. PMs are not allowed unless I pay.” Trial members have limited functionality on the website and forum. Paid members have full functionality, one of the benefits of membership, after all it is their membership fees that pay for the website.
“I also can’t ask about my “pending moderation” question in another thread (awaiting approval) about the legality of driving/pushing pedestrian controlled machines along the pavement, a topic I’d imagined might be of general interest.” Which thread did you post this in? Would it have been better to start a new thread?

charlieKeymasterYes, the link works, a very interesting series of photographs. The T100 is looking good. I must get my Rototiller 10E running some time. Also in my collection I have the 28th model 56 made in UK by Geo Monro and still use it on my vegitable garden.
