Whilst I was at MERL in Reading yesterday I had a look at the Allen Scythe records. 26554 dates from 1947.

Welcome to the forum, which is only part of the club, to be a full member you will need to pay either now or when free trial expires.
WD40 is not the best product for freeing rusted nuts and bolts, something like Plusgas is much better as it is a proper penetrating fluid.

I have entered that show and reluctantly paid, never again. My stock answer now, if I am asked to pay to enter, is take it out of my fuel allowance.

Looking at this table I would say it dates from 1959, as it has a prefix G, the engine is an S80.

That is an interesting use of a Howard 700, would make a good article for The Cultivator.

What engine does it have? What is engine number? It may be possible to get an approximate date from these.

Great to see another old machine revived and back doing what it was made for, one of the things I like about our hobby, we can still use the machines.
