Parts for the magneto are obtainable from a number of suppliers eg Villiersparts or magneto-ignition (took over from Independent Ignition) these are just a couple there are others.
The WICO part numbers are 06401 contact set, 06400 condenser set and X2089 breaker box cover unit. The WICO A576BZ was standard equipment on JAP 4/2, 5 & 6.

We use a sonic tank at work for cleaning ceramic rollers used in the print process, the tank is long enough for them and they are placed on a mechanism that rotates them in the tank. Not suitable for ali as the solution is caustic.

    Bish welcome to the forum.
Stuart whilst having the engine on my SIMAR 11 rebuilt it had new roller bearing for the bog end made and a new crank pin turned up. The work was carried out by Cox & Turner, it might be worth contacting them to ask where they got the bearing made. It would be possible to have a new con rod machined out of a solid billet.

Steve that sounds a sensible approach, get them clean then let them develop a natural old look.

Alan it might be worth contacting Exmoor Trim, they make reproduction seat cushions (and canvas hoods) for old Land Rovers.

Pete, thanks for the detailed summary of work to date glad to hear of your success it sounds like the Bonser has done a fair bit of work and suffered neglect in the past. Keep up the good work.
