I see the plate says made in Lawrenceburg TN, USA. Have you tried the USA rather than Murray Europe?

It is also worth using a penetrating fluid such as Plus Gas rather than WD40.

Have you tried heating the wheel around where the key is. In addition to expanding the metal I have found the heat helps breakdown rust. Very likely, as suggested in another post on the forum, the gib key has been hammered in too far previously.

It has ratchet hubs that can be locked. Another feature ofthe Monrotiller wjhich I like is teh ability to swing handles to left or right avoiding the nee dto walk behind and trample the…[Read more]

From what I know of small two wheeled garden tractors most had either a rigid axle with both wheels locked to it, eg Trusty Earthquake or a rigid axle with wheels mounted on hubs with ratchets that could be locked, eg Monrotiller. Disengaging one of th eratchets would ease turning.

Yes, the link works, a very interesting series of photographs. The T100 is looking good. I must get my Rototiller 10E running some time. Also in my collection I have the 28th model 56 made in UK by Geo Monro and still use it on my vegitable garden.
