I have a Big 4 manual, I’ll put a link to it. The main difference to the bike engine is the drive side main shaft, it’s tapered for the engine sprocket on the bike but it’s plain on the trusty to attach the Trusty centrifugal clutch.

Wow, what a fascinating article. I had a petrol generator with a wartime JAP 5 on it, it had a Wico mag. with a metal top and screened plug for RF interference protection and a JAP carb. It had been refurbished in Reme workshops.

My brother-in-law planted some spuds in two tubs, as an experiment, he filled one to the top, the other he earthed up a couple of times. I found three old ones in the bottom of my tater bag with 2 – 3″ sprouts so I put them in a tub and earthed up a couple of times, we shall see what appears! Dad and I used his merry tiller to bout up the potatoes but we used the basic rotors (finger tines), they are narrow enough and give good traction.
