definately, drake and fletcher. after drake and muirhead, aprox 1890, and before rhey were a limited company in 1922.

had a brass lance in the collection for years and never able to identify itt, the lance with this one is a ten foot 2 part affair, and matches all bar size, the one ive had for years, coincidence or fate!

drake and fletcher spray cart. looks to be all complete apart from a few holes in the tank. pretty certain the wheels are hot original, as have too large a bore for the axle

did see that, when it was available, but aquired a few things lately, so budget not up to it. but have aquired a drake and fletcher hop sprayer though, picking it up on sunday. glad its gone to a good home.

any rust killer is a no no, as they are generally acid based, and will react violently with zinc galvanizing, and the lime wash residue often found in these sprayers. looks like a strong industrial detergent might be the way to go

have a large number of bucket sprays which i’ve refurbished the sprayer parts ready for display. any sugestions as to how to clean up the buckets/tanks themselves. dont want to regalvanize, one on cost secondly on appearance. just want to get rid of all the muck and powdery surface.
any suggestions,experiance welcome -

have this morning just aquired a cooper pegler syringe style sprayer, with brass name plate, it is of an interesting, probably unique, design. photos to follow when i find the right lead.

i havent got any in the 50 or so i’ve got, but probably half are un marked and not as yet attributable to a manufacturer. have no recolection of seeing any paperwork for a syringe by them either

got it loaded in the van. identification plate is a george momro one bearing model no, A5D, and number 0323.this as usual dosent relate to the simar records though. The nose cone has had an exstensive rework, as id plate has been re riveted and its been rebuilt with gutter bolts. The paper work with it suggests its been built up from 3 machines…[Read more]

i think your right, but wasn’t certain, won’t know for certain till i pick it up tommorrow. thought it was a much cheaper option than re fabricating the tin work for the other 3 i have!

sadly paul theres always room for just one more simar! think thats 10 now! had multi gardener running, but photos are on the dead lap top. have recovered the hard drive, and awaiting brother recovering the important stuff!
