What fuel would I use in the 28B engine instead of modern petrol with bio additives?

I am going to fit a new engine to one of my Howard Clifford 700 rotavators and am not sure how to integrate it with the existing mountings. Will my existing drive from old engine fit new engine and should the mounting brackets all line up? any advice or instructions would be gratefully received before I get too old for this type of project.…[Read more]

Sincere apologies, I get easily distracted with a multitude of projects on the go. I will try to put pictures on the site for you to look at what ive got and trying to do. Very cold here just now and unable to work outside.

I also have Hirth D24 Instruction & Parts Manuals and Villiers Instruction & Parts manuals plus the 700 Instructions & Parts Manuals for the machines

Unfortunately for me, I will have to consider selling 2 if not the 3 units, I am unable to work with them due to injuries to hand and also old age. YES i would consider a reasonable offer for the D24 and also other units available here.. I will list all the parts available over next week. best regards, Ian.

I have a hirth D24 engine, and also parts etc for 700, including all parts manuals and instructions book etc.

I’m hoping to get one 700 working and sell of other two complete with parts etc.

Where are you located. Might be practical to ship?

I have manuals and 2 complete 700’s plus bits etc. I used this machine extensively and our one came with a ride on trailer, blade attachment for moving soil and front loading bucket for placing soil etc along with Rotovator it could also be used with a bench saw, plough, powered soil sieve, It could travel on road at 12 mph. Yes, I was aware of that after I posted, I am not sure how to do private messages & my brain is starting to fog up @ 74 ?

I have a Howard 700 with a Hirth 2stroke diesel engine.
Not much fun todate, looking for someone who could help in renovating the engine to working status as I have no experience of diesel engine setups.

I have 3 # 700’s and have been looking for wheel extensions for ploughing as I have complete plough unit but no wheel extensions to enable ploughing.
.
Can anyone who may have one or two send me dimensions so that I can make a set for myself or possibly direct me to where a set could be purchased. Ian.

@charlie ~ I used to drive Howard Clifford 700 with trailer on a P.C.V. License ( Pedestrian controlled Vehicle) on main roads up to 30 miles per day.( Ave 10 M.P.H.) Thats what was required back in the 60’s

Howard clifford 700 has trailer attachment & I have seen brochure advertised on eBay for this unit. I used original on road with larger wheels for speed to transport rotovator and bucket attachment plus bulldozer blade for landscaping in late 60’s. I will look and see if I can send you brochure details. Ian😎
