charlieKeymasterI have an idea it may be screwed on. Is this the pulley that moves to take up slack in drive belt acting as the clutch? If so the photo below will reveal what I mean. This shows the jockey wheel operating arm and what the large pulley fixes to. You will need to split gearbox to get to the flats on the inner face of the screwed part. Cant remember but looking at photo it could be left hand thread.

charlieKeymasterRight I have been told the link button works correctly.
What you need to do is write the word you want to link eg Charlie’s website, highlight it with the mouse, then click the link button.November 3, 2013 at 4:21 pm #2448
charlieKeymasterAhh you spotted the little ‘helper’, anything new has to be inspected and any work I happen to be doing outside closely watched.

charlieKeymasterAlan, thanks for confirming identity of engine, fortunately I have the manual for that one already in my collection. Although it is an early book showing magneto ignition and Villiers or AMAL carbs.
That is both the only known genuine Monro Tiller trailers.November 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm #2426
charlieKeymasterI suppose the logical next step from the above statement is why exhibit tractors indoors! I understand the indoor exhibits form the main part of the show. Why fragment any section by putting exhibits in more than one place? Plus it is warmer and dry indoors which must be a bonus in November.

charlieKeymasterAgain see my previous reply. If club membership carries no benefits then what is the point of joining the club. All club members get a copy of The Cultivator but only a few use the website so it is far better to place wanted ads in The Cultivator. The wanted ads on the old forum significantly reduced the number appearing in the magazine. The Cultivator will remain the main communication route for all members.

charlieKeymasterThat is a standard Villiers air filter, still available. Why the previous owner added the red plastic tub who knows.

charlieKeymasterTitch thanks for the info. The VHGMC are affiliated to the FBHVC so part way there, we will need to open dialogue with the DVLA to see if we can become one of the recognised clubs for vehicle verification. The closure dates for DVLA offices can be viewed at DVLA Office Closure Dates

charlieKeymasterCan’t understand why people don’t want to exhibit their horticultural items in the horticultural section inside, especially when the items would be part of this years featured make.
