Spammer deleted. Thanks for letting me know. This is the first time we have had a spammer use the message system. Very few get past the sign up process.

Check wires to points for breakage/open circuit. I remember my father had this happen once.

I had a problem with my Trusty Earthquake, started and ran well then started stopping and playing up. I suspected fuel, checked flow from tank to carb, that was OK. Took carb off and found water in fuel in float chamber. Cleaned float chamber, problem solved.

Another rarity found and saved, well done. Maybe a theme for a future event, machines with their original trailers, Trusty, Barford, Merry Tiller, Monro Tiller etc.

I ploughed my plot a couple of weeks ago with the Barford Atom 30 a week later ran the Trusty Earthquake over it and yesterday gave it a final go with the Simar 56. Actual got a cheer from neighbour, when I finished, can’t think why!!! Ground was still a bit wet but with the season we have had a case of getting in before more rain. Even got some spuds planted.

Opps I forgot Jon, he recently supplied a coil etc for the clinton engine on my Monro Tiller MG3.

Villiers parts are available from a number of suppliers eg Meetens, Villiers Parts. Whilst a new coil will be more expensive than a second hand one it should be certain to work whereas a second hand one will be of unknown reliability. From my own experience if replacing the coil I would replace the whole ignition system points and condenser.
