That is indeed sad news. He helped me greatly with queries about Trusty’s and I shall miss his sound advice. His enthusiasm for Trusty’s shone through with everything he said to me. Can I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

Hello everyone and greetings from Australia. Have just finished restoring an OTA Monach tractor. These are very rare out here, only 2 others that I know of. It is missing the pneumatic governor, I believe they were made by handy in the USA. Would any members have a suitable one to suit the ford prefect motor or know of a place where I might obtain…[Read more]

It looks like a Geest truck, made by Geest, the same company associated with bananas.
I do not know models, but trucks were manufactured from the 1950s to the 1970s. Addresses were advertised as Geest Industries Limited (Truck Division) Spalding, Lincolnshire, and Marsh Lane Truck Factory, Boston, Lincolnshire
Brian Bell’s book ’70 Years of…[Read more]

It could be a Wrigley, or based on one.

Good morning, wondering if anyone can help?
I have just acquired this 3 Wheeled truck and wondered if anyone could help with identification?
It has a Villers engine and Albion Gearbox. Also, the Drive Sprocket on the engine is missing, can anyone tell me any details on this, i.e size, number of teeth etc?
Any other information on this machine…[Read more]

Wow thanks for that, i will keep my eye open at our loca sales you often see various slitters that could be adapted. Will also keep an eye out for a roller

alan replied to the topic Westwood Lawn Groomer 1 in the forum Help and information 10 months, 1 week ago
It does look like the slitter and others were fitted on the back in place of the rake bit. I’ve found a photo in the 1985 brochure with the slitter attached.
Until I looked, I hadn’t realised that the Lawngroomer Mark1 was such a short-lived attachment – just 1983 to 1986.

Thank you, that was brilliant, l assume the optional slitter and roller attachments fitted on the back in lieu of the rake /brush, to change the spikes each time would have been quite a chore?
Well l start this morning in restoring mine, the “peristaltic” (thats a mouthfull) pumps appear to be okay but l was of a mind to use a winscreen washer…[Read more] -

I have looked through my Westwood brochures, and two pages detail the Lawn Groomer which may be of help. Attached as a PDF.
Westwood used to have instructions on their website for the range of tractors but not implements. Anyway, the company is now defunct, and the website is no longer available.
The Lawn Groomer is early 1980s. In the…[Read more]
