Hi all I thaught I would share a few pics of my latest acquisition a whitwood seed drill made by dashwood engineering, of which is a very interesting firm for me because of the colwood link, I have waited along time to find one and now have one so I’m very pleased plus I had the added bonus of using it at the weekend at tractor fest in Kent.

Was reading a copy of the metro free newspaper today turned the page and to my surprise there was a picture and article of our very own Mr hall with the Cadbury ransomes, so just wanted to say well done for getting in one of the papers.

Without trying to cause eruptions and upsetting people I do often wonder why ploughing seems to be understood as the main part of horticultural, I own small ploughs for some of my machinery, but can’t help wondering why such a major feeling that ploughing is horticulture, for me our past time covers such a wide range of interests from hand tools,…[Read more]

Last weekend a very nice selection of machinery was on show and I believe a total of 73 exhibits were on show over the course of the two days myself and Paul mackellow did a j a plan machinery and engine display and Darren Portsmouth brought along his superbly restored howard gem. Any case here’s a few pics.

Have been to the bill targett memorial rally today having attended the horticultural section of which was run by our own Jim beacon.Only thing is I ended up coming home with another British anzani motor Hoe and a atco 12’mower circa 1960.
