I am sorry to report strawberries and steam has come to an end. I did not know prior to the show but was told at our wash out meeting a few weeks after. Due to the shows growth and sucess new toilets would be required a modern beer tent rather than the old army tent more stewarts The list goes on and on.Anybody that helps produce a show will know…[Read more]

i would love to try and plough with my trusty at bloxham in september but need a plough can anybody sell me a plough good or bad so i can have a go. Also do i need my own poles. The rest i can make up as i go along My neighbour brian reynolds has offered advice and encouragement. Lets hope there is a newby class for fifty somethings..

Got the clutch removed today lots of meat on the shoes and now two springs.

I opened the clutch case today to see how it all works and found one of the springs is broken ,hence the clutch drag.Are there any left hand threads or things i should know before attempting replacing the spring.???

Where do i look for trusty clutch springs as my latest toy drags a little at tick over.Also i am looking for an impliment for mine as i just have a tractor so far..I have a reverse gear 2 levers on the left handle, plus a pulley and post ?? is this rare

Picked up a new toy at the weekend a power barrow made by Hatch brothers engineering cornwall.it has a 2hp briggs engine the frame is green. Does anybody know about them as i have never sen one before ??? Pictures to follow.

picked up a jalo gardiner push hoe no idea how old with little or no paint can anyone tell me the age and proper colours. The metal handle has some black on it the wheel looks like it was once red and the discs and other attachments have no colour at all?? Need to get it looking smart for our show in june. pictures to follow..

Just a quick thank you to all the people i spoke to at my first vhgmc club stand. I was made very welcome by everyone i spoke to. My exhibits are not show winners but were well recived which made me feel part of a great club. I found the auction a little daunting at one point there were 4 auctions on at once but a great auction everyone got free mud on entry. I was very supprised the mg crawler and plough did not sell the condition was tip top.

the show is held at lottmead farm P.Y.O Hence straw berries and steam The farm also has a small air strip so the owner is usually buzzing around in a biplane. Ten mins away is a car boot for the early birds. Last year we installed a raised viewing platform in the trees by the steam driven rack bench so lots to see and eat..
