My post should say Shay Rotogardener, I have all the paperwork and parts diagramsbut only Shay’s own part numbers. My problem may be the drive setup.

mickattwo replied to the topic Throttle cables in the forum Pedestrian operated machines 10 years, 8 months ago
Charlie the inner cable is attached to the slide in the carb and wont come fully out. The carb is an AMAL the engine is Villiers from a Ransome 14 lawnmower. I do not know much about carbs but I understand that Villiers used several types on the same model engine.

If the plough used is vintage it should not be a concern if the power source is not. Is this correct?

Bulldog was a brand of hedgelayers and forest hand tools probably amalgamated with Hortag to make the tractor

I have two Barford wheels with the rachet setup seized. Would I be OK in undoing the four countersunk screws to have a look? I am a novice restorer, this is my first project. I have dismantled the frame which is ready for rubbing down. I hope to take the machine to Newark.

mickattwo replied to the topic honda f60 in the forum Pedestrian operated machines 11 years, 3 months ago
Hi I have a Honda F510, not as old as yours but I order parts from my local garden m/c dealer, they are very helpful and they have the parts disc. Send me a PM and let me know what you are needing. My Honda uses SAE 30 oil for both engine and gearbox. Honda parts are expensive. I would help with getting what you require.

Thanks for the info so far but neither flywheel has any markings but I have to remove both to check points, the date stamp may be on the inside somewhere. Are there any electronic modules for any of these engines as both machines will be working on a regular basis?
