    How about a Far Eastern electric start diesel, or indeed a petrol engine, several makers produce electric start engines now. I know you can fit a Hatz engine I think (E709) not sure, but you still have to crank them.

    I think they are the correct colour for BMB as Charlie suggests.

    It looks like the Flymo colour used in that period, so I think that could well be the answer.

    Try contacting Jon Cruse ( the mower centre Hailsham) he is pretty clued up on that sort of thing, and has been repairing all types of machines for many years, and sells villiers parts from all eras.
    He has a website, or call 01323 842477 weekdays.

    I suggest you find a company that dismantles and supplies secondhand glasshouses, there must be one sitting in a yard somewhere.
