One possible way to date them would be from the engine number, this will depend on what engine is fitted as some makes are easier to date than others and if it is the original.</p>

Has anyone come across this type before?<br />
My question is, does the lead screw onto this stub in the same way some plug caps do or would it be soldered to the stub?</p>

To start the engine yoiu need to pull out one of the two buttons on the rear of the clutch, engine may need turning over slowly to get it to engage.</p>

Coil and condenser really need professional test gear to testthem thoroughly, a multimeter will show if condenser is short circuit and if coil, primary and secondary windings, are open circuit. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The blades do not need to swing 360 on their mounting bolts, they only beed to swing in if an obstruction is hit. I suspect the bolts have a shoulder rather than a plain shank, to ensure the blades do swing.</p>
